All you have to do is attend our daily IELTS coaching lecture. Take some breather and have dinner time with your family. Your later weekly schedule will look like as below:

IELTS Daily Routine for Busy People

Let us break the same into detail:

We’ll begin with the day we pretend to get our life together:

Monday – Reading and Writing Warm-Up

6:00 PM-7:00 PM

Reading Module – Start the week with a casual reading battle. Highlight, guess, eliminate long passages like a detective. Begin with Cambridge or Score more book and start solving given reading passages. Make sure to keep a record of time since you need to finish all the 3 given passages within 60 minutes. Check your answers and find out which question type challenge you the most if any. Then later on, practice the same till you are confident that those questions will not confuse you again.

9:00 PM-10:00 PM

Writing Module (Task 1)Now, Academic and General student have different writing task1 right and there are multiple type of questions, which one to practice? You must be thinking that. Well, I am aware about it right? Let us get a clear idea.

General Students– You’re expected to write a letter but don’t panic, you won’t have to send it via pigeon or post office. There are three types of letters and you could be asked to write any of them in your examination.

Formal Letter (writing to a company or any officials)

Semi-formal Letter (writing to a teacher, boss or manager)

Informal letter (writing to a friend or a family member)

Here’s a little secret..

Informal letters are the best place to begin. Why? The obvious reason is they feel natural. You’re basically writing to your best friend, minus emojis and slangs. Therefore, if you’re just getting started with IELTS writing, begin with informal letters to build confidence, flow and comfort with the structure.

Academic Students- If you’re an academic student, there are some good news and bad news.

Bad news? You are not supposed to write a friendly letter to your friend complaining about your fellow classmates.

Good news? You get something better actually. You are expected to compose a detailed report on the given:

Bar chart or,

Pie chart or,

Table chart or,

Process diagram or,

Map or multiple graphs.

A lot to take in, I know, right? A little tip, I suggest you to begin with bar chart and then pie chart.

Tuesday– Reading and Writing Warm-Up

6:00 PM-7:00 PM

Listening Module – Note that it is not a Netflix, you cannot pause and play back the audio. Get comfy with Aussie, Canadian and British accents while resting the urge to scream,” What did he just say?” Jokes apart, try to focus on key words and you will be pro irrespective of accents. Make sure you attend our lectures daily to get a clear idea of spotting the key words and accents.

9:00 PM-10:00 PM

Writing Module (Task 2) – Don’t worry guys, you have same type of writing task irrespective of whether you are academic or general student. You have:

Opinion (Agree or Disagree)

Advantages and Disadvantages

Problem and solution

Discussion (Discuss both views)

Two-part Questions

Negative or Positive development

The word limit is minimum 250 words (go over, never under!) and always use formal tone which include no slangs, no contractions and definitely no “BTW”, “LOL” or “OMG”.

Tip from my side, start practicing opinion-based essays. They’re easy to plan and write because you have to pick a side and explain your reasons more like a debate but no one to interrupt you in between.

Wednesday– Midweek magic

6:00 PM-7:00 PM

Reading Module Round 2- I know this time you are not only getting better and sharper but your inner Sherlock Holmes is wide awake. Practice from the available materials.

9:00 PM-10:00 PM

Speaking (Introduction Questions)– Go through You tube and websites and search for the basic introductory questions like “where you come from?”, “what do you do in your free time?” or “Do you like listening music?” Sit in front of mirror or with a friend or family member and ask them to ask you those questions. Reply to them in a formal way, do not forget that okay?

Thursday– Listen and Speak Up

6:00 PM-7:00 PM

Listening Module Again – By now, your ears are trained. You’re a listening ninja. Bring it on! Go to the You tube and practice the listening tests available there.

9:00 PM-10:00 PM

Speaking (Cue cards & Follow-Up Questions)– Speak for 2 minutes straight on to the given topic without any hesitation like “umm” or “yeah…” or unwanted pauses. Pick out any favourite topic at the first it can be either your favourite teacher from school or your first heartbreak (joking… maybe). As mentioned before, you can practice this with your family or friend.

Friday– Final Writing Fight

6:00 PM-7:00 PM

Writing Task 1- Practice charts or letters accordingly. Make sure to follow the format which has been taught to you in the class and minimize grammatical errors.

Writing Task 2- Give the essay structure a little glow-up guys, if you need, it needs as well. Make your points and flex your vocabulary guys. You have got this!

Saturday– Mock Test Mode

6:00 PM-9:00 PM

Full Mock Test (Listening + Reading + Writing)- This is it guys. Real test vibes. If you are appearing for the test at home, sit in nice place with less chaotic environment with full energy to sit for 3 hours with no breaks or excuses. Speaking will be taken by the faculty guys so you can experience how one-on-one test looks like.

Sunday– Rest!

Your brain deserves some rest after such a hectic weekday schedule. Watch a movie or spend quality of time with family or friends and make yourself ready for the fresh week.

Now if you are a working professional, then regardless of job timings, I believe you can spare few hours out of your busy schedule, attend the lecture at your convenient time and practice according to the schedule shared above. The timings might differ but the task activity of each day will remain the same.

Stick to the routine like your future depends on the band score, it is the reality, we know that right? Make sure to attend your classes, do not ghost your lectures. Mandatorily show up for the mock tests and stay consistent even when your brain says, “Let’s just nap instead”. Follow this and guess what? You will get your dream band score that you were manifesting and there is no such thing like magic, it will be your smart effort. Remember, IELTS isn’t Hogwarts; there is no magic wand. But with this routine, a bit of discipline, and a fewer skipped sessions, you can easily turn this “maybe” into “mission accomplished!”. YOU HAVE GOT THIS!
